Homestead & Co LLC wants everyone to be able to use this website — including visitors who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Measures we take on this site include:

• Text and interface colors checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Descriptive alternative text on listing photos and meaningful images.
• Labeled form fields, visible keyboard focus indicators, and a skip-to-content link.
• A logical heading structure and semantic landmarks on every page.
• Automated accessibility checks (axe-core) run against the site as part of our build process, so regressions are caught before they ship.

Known limitations

Some content comes from third parties — for example MLS listing photos arrive without descriptive captions, so their alternative text is generated from the property address. If you hit something that doesn’t work with your assistive technology, we want to know.
