Meet Hank: The AI Transaction Assistant Behind Every Homestead Deal

October 20, 2026

Every agent knows the feeling. The showing went great, the buyers want to write, and now it’s 9 p.m. and you’re filling in forms on a laptop at the kitchen table. Or the deal is under contract and the next two weeks are a string of amendments, signature chases and “can you resend that?” emails.

At Homestead & Co, that part of the job has a name. It’s Hank, our AI transaction assistant. He works inside every Homestead deal, and his job is simple: handle the paperwork so you can stay with your clients.

What Hank does

Hank works from the deal that’s already in our agent portal: the contract, the dates, the parties and the documents. So you don’t have to explain the deal to him. You just tell him what you need.

He writes offers. Text him the terms, like “Offer on 1420 Maple, $315K, $5K seller concessions, close Nov 21,” and he fills in the contract. If something the form needs is missing, he asks. He never guesses at a term.

He handles the back-and-forth. Counters, the next offer in a negotiation, and changes to an offer before it’s accepted.

He drafts the mid-deal paperwork. Price changes, closing date changes and the other amendments a deal needs along the way.

He sends documents for signature. That includes buyer broker agreements and listing paperwork. He can resend an envelope, void one, or text your client the signing link again.

He keeps the file current. Deal status, key dates, price, commission, the people on the deal, documents and the compliance checklist.

He files what you forward him. Forward a signed PDF or snap a photo of a document, and he puts it on the right deal. If he can’t tell which deal it belongs to, he asks.

He answers questions about your deals. “When does the Oak Street inspection period end?” “What’s still outstanding on the Johnson file?” He answers from your records, and only yours.

He gets you paid. When it’s time, he requests your disbursement authorization.

He hands off the field work. Lockboxes, inspections and closings go to our field coordinator, a real person. Hank does the computer work. People do the in-person work.

How to work with Hank

There’s no app to learn. Pick whichever way feels easiest:

  • Text him at (405) 920-3980 from the cell phone on your portal profile.
  • Email him at [email protected]. Forwarding a document counts.
  • Chat with him using the Hank bubble inside the agent portal.
  • Talk to him through your own Claude or ChatGPT app. Our agents can connect the AI app they already use to the portal in a few minutes, then just talk: in the car, between showings, wherever.

Talk to him like you’d talk to a good assistant. Say what you want in plain English. You don’t need special commands or the “right” words.

Nothing goes out until you say so

This is the part agents ask about first, so here it is plainly.

Hank proposes. You send. When he writes an offer or drafts an amendment, it waits for you in the portal. You look it over, then approve it. Nothing reaches your client, the other agent or the title company on Hank’s word alone.

He only sees your deals. He works from your records, fenced to you. He isn’t reading anyone else’s files to answer your question.

He’s openly AI. He introduces himself as AI and signs every email that way. Nobody on the other side is misled.

He’d rather ask than guess. When something is unclear, or beyond what he can do, he says so and brings in a person on our team. A confident wrong answer is the one thing we won’t accept.

What he doesn’t do

He doesn’t make phone calls, enter listings in the MLS, or go to inspections and closings. And he doesn’t replace your judgment. Every decision on a deal is still yours. He’s a coordinator, not a licensee.

Why it matters

Most brokerages give you software and a login. We’d rather give you time back. Hank exists so an agent at Homestead spends their day on the parts of real estate that need a person: the client conversations, the negotiation, the advice. The paperwork follows behind.

If you’re an agent in the Oklahoma City metro and that sounds like the way you want to work, meet Hank, see why agents choose Homestead, or talk to a broker. We’d love to show you around.
