The terms, in plain language:
- You pay the $199 one-time tuition up front, like any other student.
- If you get licensed and affiliate your license with Homestead & Co, we credit $199 to you at your first closing with us.
- It is a one-time credit paid at that closing — not a rebate on the tuition itself, and separate from the 30-day money-back policy below.
- The credit applies to the one-time plan only. The monthly plan is priced lower from the start instead; it is not credited back at closing.
- Enrolling puts you under no obligation. You are free to take the course and hang your license wherever you like; the course is the same either way.

Getting licensed in Oklahoma
How much does the Oklahoma pre-license course cost?
There are two ways to pay for the same 90-hour Basic Course of Real Estate, Part I of II, approved by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission (course approval no. 3005725): $199 one time, or $34 a month for as long as you need it. There are no additional fees for the course itself either way. The state exam and license application fees are paid separately to the Commission and its testing vendor.
Which plan should I pick?
If you expect to finish quickly, the monthly plan usually costs less — at $34 a month, a student who finishes in three months pays about $102. If you would rather settle it once and not think about it again, or you are considering starting your career with us, pay once: the $199 one-time tuition is the plan we credit back out of your first closing. The course itself is identical on both.
What happens if I stop paying on the monthly plan?
Your course access pauses, and everything you have done is kept — chapters, quiz results and study hours are all saved. Restart the plan from your student dashboard and you pick up exactly where you left off. You can cancel any time; there is no notice period and no cancellation fee. Payments already made are not refunded.
Is the course really free if I join Homestead & Co?
That applies to the one-time plan. You pay the $199 tuition up front, and if you get licensed and start your career with Homestead & Co, we credit the full $199 back to you out of your first closing with us — so the course ends up costing you nothing. That first-closing credit is separate from the 30-day tuition refund policy, and it is not a condition of enrolling: you are free to take the course and hang your license anywhere.
How long does it take to get an Oklahoma real estate license?
Oklahoma requires 90 clock hours of pre-license education before you can sit for the sales associate exam. Because the course is self-paced, how fast you finish is up to you — most students complete the education and the state exam within a couple of months. Your enrollment is valid for six months from the date you enroll.
What does Oklahoma require to get a real estate license?
Oklahoma requires the 90-hour pre-license education, passing the state licensing exam, a background check, and affiliating with a sponsoring broker. Homestead & Co teaches the education and can also be your sponsoring brokerage, but the two are independent choices.
Is the course fully online?
Yes. All 90 hours are delivered online and self-paced, on any device, including the chapter quizzes and the required 150-question final examination. Instructor support is available through posted office hours and an ask-the-instructor tool.
Do I need any experience to start?
No. The course assumes no real estate background and starts from first principles. Many Homestead & Co agents began with no industry experience.
Tuition refund policy
One-time plan. Full refund of your $199 tuition within 30 days of purchase, provided you have not progressed past Chapter 1 and have not attempted the final examination. Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days. Enrollments are non-refundable after the 30-day window or after a final-exam attempt.
Monthly plan. Cancel any time from your student dashboard — there is no notice period and no cancellation fee. Access continues to the end of the month you have paid for and then pauses; your progress is kept. Months already paid are not refunded, and the 30-day money-back guarantee above does not apply to the monthly plan.
If the school discontinues the course before you can complete it, you receive a full refund on either plan.
Enrollment is valid for six months from the date of enrollment, the validity period Oklahoma sets for distance education (OAC 605:10-5-3(i)(4)). Course information is education, not a substitute for competent legal advice.
