How the window works
Each course has its own six months
Oklahoma limits a distance-education enrollment to six months. Here is how that fits a membership.
- Joining is not enrolling. You pay for the membership, and you start a course from your dashboard when you are ready.
- Starting a course opens its window. Each course has a six-month window from the day you start it (OAC 605:10-5-3(i)(4)). Part I and Part II each get their own.
- Your membership keeps the door open. While you are a member you can start any course the school offers, in any month.
- If you pause or cancel, your progress is saved. The window on a course you have started keeps running, so check its date on your dashboard.
For licensed agents
Continuing education and license renewal
An Oklahoma sales associate or broker associate needs 30 clock hours of continuing education each 36-month license term.
Our 15 online continuing education courses (38 clock hours) are approved by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission and included in the membership. Brokers also need a 15-hour Broker in Charge course, which we do not offer; take it from another provider.
Add your license number, and your name as it appears on your license, when you start a continuing education course.
Common questions
About the membership
Does it include continuing education?
Yes, the online courses. The 15 online continuing education courses the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission has approved (38 clock hours) are included. Continuing education is not sold separately. The school’s live classroom courses are taught in person and are not part of the membership. We do not offer the 15-hour Broker in Charge course that brokers need; take it from another provider.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. Cancel from your student dashboard. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee. Your access continues to the end of the month you have paid for, then pauses. Your progress is kept. Months already paid are not refunded.
Do I have to join Homestead & Co to take a course?
You do not need to join the brokerage to take any course.
What happens to my progress if I pause?
Everything you have done is saved: chapters, quiz results and study hours. Your access pauses until you restart. Each course’s six-month window keeps running while you are paused, so check the date on your dashboard.
Is Part II included?
Yes. Part II, the 45-hour post-license course, is part of the membership. Start it when you are licensed. It has its own six-month window from the day you start it, with no new charge.
Can I pay once instead?
Yes, for a single course. Part I is $199 once. On that plan we credit it back out of your first closing with us if you start your career with Homestead & Co. Part II is $174 once. The membership is the way to take more than one course.
