Complete it before your first license expiration
Oklahoma issues your first sales associate license as a provisional license. The 45-hour post-license course is required before that first expiration — and a provisional licensee who has not completed it by then cannot renew.
Two clocks run at the same time, and the shorter one governs:
- Your license term. Your provisional license carries its own expiration date. The post-license course must be complete before it (§858-302(E); OAC 605:10-3-7). There is no reinstatement path for an original applicant who misses it (605:10-7-2(g)) — the license simply cannot be renewed.
- Your enrollment window. Oklahoma gives every distance-education enrollment six months of validity from the day you enroll (605:10-5-3(i)(4)). Enroll late in your license year and part of that window is worthless.
The course is self-paced and most students finish well inside the window. The only thing that runs out is time — so the earlier you start, the more room you have.

The post-license requirement, plainly
Who has to take the Oklahoma post-license course?
Every provisional sales associate. Oklahoma issues your first sales associate license as a provisional license, and you must complete the 45-hour post-license course before that first license expires. It is not optional and it is not continuing education — it is the second half of the required education, which is why the course is Part II of II.
What happens if I do not finish before my first license expires?
Your provisional license cannot be renewed. Oklahoma does not offer a reinstatement path for an original applicant who missed the post-license requirement, so you would be starting over. Two clocks run at once: your license term, and the six-month enrollment window that starts the day you enroll. The shorter one governs, so enrolling late in your license year leaves part of the window unusable.
How much does the course cost?
$34 a month for as long as you need it, with no end date — cancel any time from your student dashboard. If you took the pre-license course with us on the $34 monthly plan and kept it after you got licensed, Part II is included: activate it from your dashboard with no new charge. There are no additional fees for the course itself; the Commission's own fees are paid separately.
I took Part I with you on the monthly plan. Do I pay again?
No. Keep your $34/month plan after you are licensed, sign in at agents.homesteadrealty.co/learn, and use the "Got your license? Start Part II" card on your Part I course page. Part II is turned on against the same plan the same day, with its own six-month window.
What does the course cover?
All 17 subjects Oklahoma requires of a post-license course, across 19 chapters: the marketplace and your business plan, marketing listings and yourself, the qualifying process, prospecting and negotiating, financing and investments, financial documents and the duty to account, title, risk and property management, broker relationships, the License Code and Rules, disciplinary action, contracts and forms, professional conduct and ethics, and fair housing. It is written practice-first — scripts, scenarios, walkthroughs and checklists — not a re-teach of pre-license theory.
Is the course fully online?
Yes. All 45 hours are delivered online and self-paced, on any device, including the chapter quizzes and the required final examination. Instructor support is available through posted office hours and an ask-the-instructor tool.
Do I have to join Homestead & Co to take it?

Tuition refund policy
Monthly plan. Cancel any time from your student dashboard — there is no notice period and no cancellation fee. Access continues to the end of the month you have paid for and then pauses; your progress is kept. Months already paid are not refunded. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to one-time tuition only, not to the monthly plan.
Campaign enrollment. Nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund. The enrollment carries the same six-month window and the same completion requirements.
Included on a pre-license monthly plan. Part II adds no charge to that plan; the plan's own terms (cancel any time, access pauses when payment stops) apply to both courses together.
If the school discontinues the course before you can complete it, you receive a full refund of any tuition paid for it.
